It's
Friday night and you are needing to make your night better. The year is 2020 and we are now stuck inside
our homes and can only go out to the grocery store for emergencies in most of
the United States. So how do you make a
Friday night special if you can’t get out and get your favorite ice cream at a
restaurant? The answer is you partially
make it on your own. So there is a process you need to go through to make your
own fantastic Friday night ice cream.
The reason I think making your own specialty ice
cream is that it's a bit safer then going out to get it from a drive
through. With pandemic hitting its
strongest at the moment across the nation, it is wise to stay as safe as you
can. So the next time you leave your house for groceries, pick out some of your
favourite ice cream tubs. Don’t be afraid
to go plain as well. If only vanilla is on the shelves which in many places is
the case, because the availability is low in many states. What you can do is go down the candy isle and
grab your favourite style of candy box and get ready to have a great time.
Now it is ok when you get back to the car to let
the ice cream thaw a little bit. By the time you get home usually ice cream is
a little bit soft. This is perfect
because now you are ready to start customizing your own ice cream. So grab a large bowl when you get home and
leave your ice cream out. If it's
starting to get soft around the edges you may just be able to flip the ice
cream tub upside down and then let the ice cream go into the bowl. Once you have it in the bowl get your favourite
candy box. Rather it's filled with
nerds, red hots, or your favourite chocolate bar flavour and mix it in. If the candy is large you may need to pull
out your cutting bored and start to chop it into small pieces.
I prefer getting reese's pieces because they
are already small and will mix really well into the ice cream. So once you have your candy ready, stir it
into the ice cream in the bowl. When you
feel like it is well mixed, grab a spoon or thick spatially and mix it right
back into the original ice cream tub. Boom, now you have an amazing custom ice
cream that can brighten up your weekend!
