Making Ice Cream Amazing

It's Friday night and you are needing to make your night better.  The year is 2020 and we are now stuck inside our homes and can only go out to the grocery store for emergencies in most of the United States.  So how do you make a Friday night special if you can’t get out and get your favorite ice cream at a restaurant?  The answer is you partially make it on your own. So there is a process you need to go through to make your own fantastic Friday night ice cream.

The reason I think making your own specialty ice cream is that it's a bit safer then going out to get it from a drive through.  With pandemic hitting its strongest at the moment across the nation, it is wise to stay as safe as you can. So the next time you leave your house for groceries, pick out some of your favourite ice cream tubs.  Don’t be afraid to go plain as well. If only vanilla is on the shelves which in many places is the case, because the availability is low in many states.  What you can do is go down the candy isle and grab your favourite style of candy box and get ready to have a great time.

Now it is ok when you get back to the car to let the ice cream thaw a little bit. By the time you get home usually ice cream is a little bit soft.  This is perfect because now you are ready to start customizing your own ice cream.  So grab a large bowl when you get home and leave your ice cream out.  If it's starting to get soft around the edges you may just be able to flip the ice cream tub upside down and then let the ice cream go into the bowl.  Once you have it in the bowl get your favourite candy box.  Rather it's filled with nerds, red hots, or your favourite chocolate bar flavour and mix it in.  If the candy is large you may need to pull out your cutting bored and start to chop it into small pieces.

I prefer getting reese's pieces because they are already small and will mix really well into the ice cream.  So once you have your candy ready, stir it into the ice cream in the bowl.  When you feel like it is well mixed, grab a spoon or thick spatially and mix it right back into the original ice cream tub. Boom, now you have an amazing custom ice cream that can brighten up your weekend!

Pandemic Candy

It is 2020 and I have only left my house 2 times in the last month.  Pandemic has caused my state to completely shut down and quarantine so I am now stuck inside.  I work from home, I sleep at home and I am supposed to have fun at home. I find it rather difficult to do any of these things well, but when it comes to eating, I am on top of things.

So what is the best choice of candy for a quarantine?  That is a very complicated question and I can only answer it as to the best of my knowledge from spending a month at home and only being able to go out to get candy refills twice.

One might argue that a hard candy is the best choice for staying in.  The benefits of it are that they usually last a long time and provide minutes and sometimes in the case of jawbreakers hours of enjoyment.  Some hard candy boxes are packaged to last a long time.  They are sealed from the elements making me think that they will last a very long time.  The freshness of hard candy seems to be a bonus as well since the labels with the expiration date are usually longer than other candies.  Hence jolly ranchers, nerds, and all kinds of hard candies get an A plus in my book for being a fantastic Pandemic Candy.

But what about licorish.  I know the debate of Red Vine vs  Twizzler will live on forever.  I remember my first licorice candy was a red vice at my older brother's baseball games.  I can still remember the fun of those super long licorice candies.  But how do they last in a pandemic? I find that I eat them all very quickly and even an entire bag only lasts an hour or so.  This being the case and that they are rather expensive when priced with the cost of hard candies I would only rate them a B plus.  This is because they are good, but general hard candy has different flavors mixed in and I get less bored with it versus licorice.

So what about other candy that does not come in candy boxes. Yes I am talking about the candy bars of the world. In all honesty I am not a big fan of the candy bar for pandemics.  They are eaten way too fast, and have the highest calorie count compared to the other candies. The taste is amazing, but the length of lasting and replacement costs is highest with the candy bar. C mines is my rating.  So thanks for checking out my favorite pandemic candies and stay safe.

Sustainable Packaging Trends to Consider

For a lot of people, sustainability is a huge focus. With more and more governmental bodies also pushing for sustainability, it’s important to look at this, and to add it to your business.

Design for Recycling

A big thing that people look for is recycling. It’s a big requirement, and a lot of companies are trying to produce stuff using less energy and material than before. Recycling is great for a lot of people, but the problem with recycling is not everything is recycled. There are so many requirements for this that not everyone follows this, and most technologies require you to have a bit of energy, and the quality of this is a lot less than the virgin kinds of material.  It’s important to look at this, because it may not be saving energy.

You want to design the items so that they can be recycled, but the problem is, you want a closed-loop type of system. You should make it easy to do so, and you should make it so that it’s easy for consumers, or else they’re not going to do it.

Designing to be Reused

A more difficult concept is basically reusing this. This is less about tearing away and getting rid of items, but it creates different packaging that actually shows that it can be sterilized and washed once again.

You need the infrastructure to wash, sterilize, and  collect then return this again. It's basically a new variant of the milkman.

While there have been attempts a lot in cosmetics and personal care, loop is basically not perfect. But the thing is, it’s actually attractive for a lot of businesses, as it looks at the life cycle assessment.

If you’re going to do this, you need to make sure that you have an item that isn’t actually bulky and heavy, because it reduces the benefits and the impact on this actually makes it worse.  You need to make the reuse process easy as well and lower the energies necessary.

Using bioplastics

This is a replacement for fossil fuels. A lot of people think bioplastics are biodegradable, or are compostable, but that’s not totally true.

While these bioplastics are good substitutes, the usage of them may cause problems with the environment, and it reduces the footprint, while boosting acidification as well. This is usually the water footprint, and other sorts of impacts.

Another thing too, is that bioplastics will not fix the plastic problem, but only alleviate it.  if a whale eats a bioplastic, it can still die.

There is also the issue of the supply, and you may wonder if that’s possible. Some ways to fix this is to improve the production of agriculture of feedstock and sugar cane, and this is something that can be pushed to the limits to get the land to compete with the production of food. Deforestation is not a good solution though.

The best way to fix this is R&D investments, and you should only use biomass waste that doesn’t come with other applications.

Not to mention, there are other issues that come with this too. We may replace plastic with paper, but this creates a supply problem, and it doesn’t really fix the carbon footprint, or acidification of this.

We still have a huge loss of forests around the world, and a lot of times, we have to expand to take on more waste. It’s important to monitor this.

While not perfect, we’re looking to fix the current ecological stress, and hopefully, with the right decisions, this is possible to do so.

Therefore, 90% of industry professionals agreeing that becoming green is the approach. And over 80% of millennial customers want firms they purchase from, to create a determined effort to adhere to environmentally responsible strategies. To acquire this demographic, you must concentrate on a Return On Relationship (ROR) model instead of a Return On Investment (ROI).

Benefits of Utilizing Environmentally Friendly Packaging

The components you utilize for packaging are critical. The excess of plastic and non-reusable or recyclable materials in packing has resulted in a poor perception of packing in particular among many customers. When customers get your goods, they expect them to be wrapped properly, utilizing non-toxic, reusable, and renewable resources that will not add to the environmental problems that our nation is experiencing.

Selecting the appropriate packing materials will assist your firm in reducing carbon emissions, improving its brand reputation, increasing sustainability, and improving customer happiness, all of which will result in a stronger result for your organization.

Boxes Made of Corrugated Material

Corrugated boxes are indeed among the most often reused product packaging in the world. This packing solution is extremely adaptable and may be utilized to wrap a wide range of items from a wide range of sectors.

Corrugated boxes are the best packaging option for companies who would like to create a genuine dedication to decreasing their company's carbon emissions in the future owing to the wide range of advantages this packaging method can bring.

Packages Made of Paper and Cardboard

In North America as well as other areas of the world, various types of paper and cardboard boxes are also commonly used and repurposed.

PACKAGING SUGGESTIONS FOR COSTLY GOODS

Individuals, first of all, and foremost, are interested in paying for the finest. It is easier to set up new items if you're a good brand image for premium products. If you're a new brand, you must establish a "high-end" reputation and credibility. Existing businesses entering into the premium category have an advantage, but they must still determine how to properly add the premium price range to their image.

Take Kia and Hyundai, both of which began as low-cost vehicles. When a company has reached market dominance in one area, it is common for it to extend into others. Both Kia and Hyundai have joined the premium vehicle market. Investigating their marketing plan might give useful information for your business.

On the other hand, when a high-priced brand achieves saturation, it lowers its pricing to introduce it to the public, as Apple did.

Your Packaging Design Should Visually Present the Pricing Level

In the context of consumer goods, we consider packaging to be the primary visual representation of the company. Certainly, the brand mark (logo) is required to communicate the appropriate things to the proper customers (brand strategy), but if finances are limited, we must always prefer package design over the brand mark that initially appeared on the box.

Brands provide an improved first appearance and inform consumers that the items are within a reasonable price range. They help secure the goods from harm and loss while still enabling the customer to see them. Packaging may be utilized for any price range, from entry-level to luxury. The package design and board size are important factors in determining the price range.

Cost Difference Is Primarily Determined By the Aesthetic Appearance of the Product

It is the picture that conveys the worth of any object at any price level, independent of package form. If it is in a carton, the heaviness, diameter, and stiffness all contribute to the value and price conveyed. For example, depending on the product mass and package dimensions, a hanging box will be made from 18pt or 24pt boards. This does not represent a high-end item. Rigid, goodie bags and litho laminated corrugate are used to protect the valuable items. Print effects such as gloss lamination, foil printing, light touch protection, and use of metal inks are frequently utilized to improve the quality impact. These techniques would not be utilized on a commodity with a relatively cheap price.

Both The Size Of The Box And The Weight Of The Goods Have An Impact On The Overall Value Of The Purchaser

Lightweight elements were accessible to electrical tool makers in the 1990s, and they started to use them in the production of their devices. Consumers benefited from a lightweight instrument that was less fatigue-inducing. The producer saved money on shipment because of the less weight. However, producers rapidly discovered that customers associated the weight and substance with inferior and far less lasting, and they preferred other brands that fulfilled the visual image of quality.

The heaviness and shape of the box communicate to the customer the importance the producer takes on its goods. Brown cardboard appears to be low-quality. Most people believe that it also best reflects eco-friendliness, but you must examine the whole image of it when comparing it to opponents. Would you buy a $500 wristwatch that came in a basic brown box with no fancy stuff? The first image of a brown box is that it is a shipping box.

The Quality of the Product Is Related Directly To Its Packaging

As previously demonstrated, your package has an impact on buyer perception. These aspects work with each other to communicate your brand recognition and attract your core target demographic, from box design to packaging material to visuals. The package maker must be aware of your recommended price as well as a well-determined target audience. The term "target" refers to a more limited notion of the best client, as opposed to a large community.

If you're offering items for new moms, offer demographics such as locality and budget to provide the required info. Do not include new mother's relations - these are a secondary audience and consumers who are affected by the new mums. Likewise, goods for those who handle their yard maintenance or ladies looking for anti-wrinkle cream require highly targeted and classified information for generating images and messages that appeal directly to a specific demographic to generate interaction. You should collaborate straight with a design director; no marketing representative analyzes your demand. As a result, provide package ideas that hit the target the very first moment.
